You did it!!  Let's be honest was there ever any doubt, tenacity should be your middle name :)

I know you have faced a tough year here. This quit although decided, has been marred by a number of timings and situations around you including business concerns and those you love suffering with health. You still made it look easy my friend, you always kept it simple in that we are all non smokers, we already did it!

Through it all you have wielded your humour like a weapon and your gentle nature, both have played strong parts in both inspiring others and helping them feel strong enough to hold on. I have seen your posts in EVERY sos and I can't say I'm surprised.

So while others may know you for your humour and funnies and that is true, for me, you are the guy that saved my life. Quite literally my life and possibly a little sanity too in dealing with my crazy witterings :)  You have been a most excellent quit buddy Stu and I am forever greatful, although I am clocking the insults too....

Massive congrats to you for 1 year of FREEDOM, you rock dude  :yahoo:

Much love

x

We don't know each other yet, but it was your brilliant comment that made me break radio silence, just in time to congratulate you it seems... isn't that convenient? Well, since I'm here anyways, congratulations!! That's a seriously great thing you just did.

The day is finally here Stu - I never doubted you for a second, but it's still great to see :)

You have been a rock here, an unmovable object, and not just for your own quit, but for everyone else who ever had a bad day, or a bad crave - you were always there to help everybody with no-nonsense and admittedly funny advice and support :)

Congratulations Stu, you are awesome :)

Congratulations El B!!!!!!  One year indicates remarkable success in kicking one tough addiction.  Well done.

Thank you El B for reaching back and helping those of us who needed a helping hand ..

Yes, what Lace said...  El B, Thank you so very much for recognizing the jagged needs of a newbie and supporting us with kindness and humor at the onset of our quit.  I find myself focusing a bit closer to your words of wisdom when I come to the QT in a panic seeking much needed guidance.  Equally important is seeing the trail that has been blazed ahead and your efforts in that regard have not gone unnoticed.  With utmost sincerity, I say Thank You, Congratulations and all the best in the days and on the adventures ahead.

Thank you for the lovely sentiment guys.

Action are you calling me an unmovable object? That's not very fair, I have been losing weight you know. If you get a couple of strong guys, ropes and pulleys, I can be moved....

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
