Doreensfree suggested I properly introduce myself, and that seems fair. I've actually been quit for a good spell, coming up on three years this April, and I'm one of those semi-mythical one-shot quitters (knock wood!). I'm likely to be a sporadic participant, given my nature, but I have a few ideas about quitting that I think are worth fleshing out, and I'm hopeful that something I say might help someone.

Hey, that was short... good for me!

Welcome to the QT!

Every quit is different and anything you have to offer just may be the advice someone who is struggling is looking for .

Good to have you aboard!

Bee and doorbell. Nice duck, rhymes with doorbells favorite activity

We had that big duck in our river last summer. Sold to someone and floated away. Real hard to ride. Couldn't climb on real easy

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
