Oh Ava, good luck! I would like to hear how it goes. I also need to lose a good bit of weight and soon. None of my work clothes fit and I will be D@#>&D if I will buy a new wardrobe. I am walking and trying not to eat too much.............

Several people at my office have lost a TON of weight and rave about it.

I guess the deal is, they give you the what for if you don't follow the program.   That Tony was a really really nice guy, but when I said that everyone laughed and said, 'not for long!'

Which is what I need I think.  I gained and lost the same 5 lbs all year.  And that is all the further I made it.

So I just started this - you get three days at the beginning to eat whatever you want so long as you count and report everything.

My three days are up, so today is officially my start day of this diet.  I need to lose 10 on the DL and lay off the @#$#ing cookies.

This diet does not allow cheat days, so it's on.  Eeek.

I googled it an could get in...

So basically, you diet and exercise, you need to say how you're doing, if it's good, virtual hi fives. If it's bad, you get a telling off...

Is that the plan?

I'm a little confused...

Kind of - there are other perimeters but by and large it's pretty straightforward.  They bust your chops if you aren't doing what you are supposed to.  And it's like $27/month only.  (He has customers all over the world.)

I think it's based on the ideology that what gets measured, gets done.  And no days off of exercise, which I don't care about that, it's just giving up Mr. ice cream sandwich, Ms. licorice, etc.  I gotta get this sweet tooth under control.

Jen...write what you are eating and we will "high five" ya and yell at you for free.   :)

I tried that with MQ last year but he was too nice, I fear you may be as well.

Haha.

I have eaten some dried apples for breakfast.  High 5?

First weigh in today, down 6 lbs. But I had my coat on at initial weigh in, so who knows.

So now I'm kind of back to square one, what I thought I started off weighing. (I guess I just didn't realize that all I got for Christmas was this 5 extra lbs, and erroneously estimated my start weight would be lower. Oh well.)

It's on!!

I haven't messed up (8 days only) so it's not time to break me down yet!  I will hold onto the check.

Porky is right.

You want abuse? We have a few here could win medals...and we'll do it for free.

1. You liked Allen Carr right? the Easy weigh to lose weight...worth a read.

2. Measuring, monitoring and accountability. There are at least five of us on MyFitnessPal (free) where we log all food and exercise.

Move more, eat less....

Whatever floats your boat I guess!

I have actually read Allen Carr's easy way to stop eating, and though I think that man is an absolute genius in helping smokers quit, his diet book did not strike me in any way the same.  Which was a disappointment.

So I have a myfitnesspal that I use in a pinch, but the leader of the fast group wants us to write everything down in a book at least at first, so we start to internalize the measuring, process of counting etc.

The only thing I don't really like about that app is if you add in exercise it gives you back the calories.

Onto to the abuse!
