Gym #2 is doing a 3 month fitness challenge, hip/waist ratio.  I was measured this morning, let's just say my measurements were more than expected.  I let myself go a lot after that head business.  No more.  NOPE.  Next measurements will be taken at the end of the month.  Lots of eating changes and hard work ahead.  I think this challenge is just what I needed to get back in the game :)

Good for you, Colleen! I know you had a rough couple of months but I'm happy to see that you are finally able to get ack to your exercise. You and El Bandito are both inspiring me to work on my fitness. Thanks!

I hate to weigh myself, but I did today and I am down 2 lbs!

Great work!

I think you are right that weight alone is not a great measure - but it does provide a part of where we are.

Go Redser!

Okay, so today was measurement day and was going to put it off because I seriously feel bloated.  Last measurements were taken 3 weeks ago.  So, no change in hips, but lost 1/2 off my waist :)

Measurements are three days.  Taking my son out to lunch, his choice and what does he pick...A greasy spoon sort of place.  Am in trouble lol today will just be a wash, I suppose.

agree with el bandito.....

beating ourselves up for enjoying life sabotages our efforts.....just enjoy...and get back on track

my program allows us a treat meal every week...not a treat day...or an evening..but a meal.  I can choose any day.  So say for instance out of the blue..the girls from work want to get together for dinner and drinks.  I can come with them and order something that's healthy and drink water or coffee...OR....I can choose to make that my treat meal.  I always have the choice.

You bet your butt though that my treat meal consists of no less than:

pasta, cheese, bread, dessert and drink...I don't hold back.  So...many many times when something unexpected comes up....I end up not making it my treat meal cause it's just not "treat meal worthy"

I want the whole shebang on my treat meal and it better be delicious...or i'm spitting it out

So, the fitness challenge has come to an end.  Considering I spent most of the winter sampling yummy cheeses and being cooped up in the house, I did okay.  First month I lost 1/2 an inch off my waist,  second month no loss no gain, this month I lost an inch off my waist.  A total of 1 1/2 inches off my waist, zero off my hips.  They are just stubborn :)

So...a thinner waist and more pronounced hour glass????

Sounds good to me!
