I was old school clean my face with my Micellar water on a pad, toner..if I could be bothered then would slap on an expensive moisturiser, no wonder my skin was so dehydrated...I have been following this routine, to the letter, since Saturday night and my skin is rewarding me visually for it ;)

I was a toner dinosaur, seriously! I hardly even bothered as I thought whats the point as it's not closing my pores. Since learning from her cheat sheets I know know that the 'new toner' is to exfoliate and then second tone ( my Vitamin C Spray) to hydrate. I've got me some AHA pads on the way and am going to purchase the BHA pads from Boots tomorrow (the Clearasil Fruit pads from the budget video). I have also got some Liquid Gold coming for my twice a week treatment...this shoe leather skin needs all the acid it can get! Found this informative link on the difference between the two acids you can use.

Retinol, I got me some Retinol :)

I was recommended this by the beauty adviser Katie, from Beauty and The Boutique. She told me to try some Retinol to help reduce the appearance of my pores in my T Zone (am combination skin, normal with an oily t zone) she recommended either Roc or if I wanted quicker results Verso...I purchased the latter!

She also explains that it's a combination of Retinol (vitamin A) and the AHA acids that will make a huge difference. I found two lots of fabulous information about using Retinol and Acids on the face.

And last on for today and a very important one..Sun Protection Factor. http://www.carolinehirons.com/2013/04/spf-cheat-sheet.html

I hope the information, and I know there's lots ;) will help others as much as it's helped me.

I have more but will post them in a few days xx

I knew I would forget something!

If any of you are planning to get your Retinol on ;) then although I can see the Verso is working already it's far too expensive at £100 a go for each of their lines for my bank balance...I'm not Rockerfella! So I personally plan to do a Retinol serum, as the serums have smaller molecules and really should get in, after a AHA toner pads ;) she mentions this brand a lot in her blogs and I found this one and am going to order once my Verso is getting low £43:50 and great reviews. Don't forget though there are many different Retinol products out there for you to check out, I just posted this one as it might be of interest to someone...off to do my fabulous skincare routine, it's an event I look forward to now..instead of wiping off the cosmetics with a pad..lol

I love this thread. I have a hard time with blush. Now I know why I looked like a Toy Soldier when I'd wear it.  Tomorrow, I will hunt for my real cheekbones. I spend ridiculous amounts of money on beauty products all the time, so I love hearing other people's reviews!

I love this thread too even if i only get here on occasion.

I love my shampoo. It is from Origins. I have been using it for years.  They used to sell it in big bottles.  Now they only sell it in small bottles, online only, but I love it so much, I order 4-6 bottles at a time.  I've tried a thousand different shampoos, from cheap to expensive.  This is the best!  I don't know what I'll do if they discontinue it.

For toner, I use witch hazel.  Love this too.  Cheap, but effective.  Plus you can use it for abrasions & scratches.  Nice for after shaving.

One thing I'd like is a magical eye cream,  I have great moisterizing face products (Origins - love Origins :) ), but my eyes are starting to get that puffy tired look.  Need some age defying magic.  :) lol - we can ask for miracles, right???

My girls clubbed together and purchased me this for my birthday, I love it! The best way I can explain it is it softens the skin and gives you the best skin finish ever. One of my customers noticed and remarked that I looked really well ( mind I have looked dreadful ..lol) and that I had glowy skin. No glitter...just a dewy best skin ever finish. I don't wear pressed powder so just wear it over my foundation. Have strongly hinted that I hope Santa brings me one for tanned skin...fingers crossed, and all that jazz.

I was reading up on this product Petra, not tried it myself but have noticed a lot of UK stockists have sold out. It's not an eye cream but I remember reading that it can be used all over the face, for any treatment that your skin needs. I was talking to my mum about it and she said that she had read all the Hollywwod stars are raving about it. No idea if this is true mind you.

I got my Christmas wish... I got the Hourglass Dim Light shade. Perfect, I like to have a spray tan each month and this worked really well with my slightly bronzed skin. The diffused light will be good when the tan is fading.

I also got this gift set, although UK folk Superdrug currently have them on offer...plus! The have their whole brush set with fab beauty bag reduced from £99 to £48... Seriously, bargain! Had I not had most of the brushes I would have made a purchase..no danger!

This is the brush set I got, found them really easy to use and gave a good finish.

Treated myself to this, Boxing Day, I am a fan. What works for me is that it's not in any way orange colour, and no nasty smell. Using it as my bedtime moisturiser....although can be worn under make up so great as a morning one, if you so wish. I will say I do pop a bit of chap stick on my eyebrows before applying, as with any false tan you can get that tell tale eyebrow look if not careful.

Given me a super summer glow....taken the edge off the Winter white beautifully, and caused no break outs ;)
