Good for you Amy!  Remember, even if you think it is trivial post about any difficulty you have.  We have all been where you are, so we get it.  If you need just a distraction, there is plenty of reading to do here and there is always the social section of the forum.

Well, today is finally the tomorrow of yesterday. I am cigarette free. I am waiting for the 72 hour mark to be able to say I am nicotine free.

Things are going quite well. I've had a couple of passing thoughts, but reasoned through them and shut them up.

Thanks for all the wonderful support! We're all in the same boat. The only difference, most people have more time than me, but I'll get there. I hope to never catch anybody ahead of me, but I know that some time soon, somebody will come along and stop after me. Then, I will make darn certain they will never catch me.

Iamdoingit (honestly that is so difficult to type!)

Right attitude.

Quitting is a simple process undertaken by complicated people.

Wow - I might write that down somewhere! B)

Sorry about the name E.B. I might have to come up with something else.

Hey - screw the name! You are doing it - and that my friend - is what counts!

Keep some juice handy for the blood sugars ;)

What a great bunch of quitters!  Iam, Amy, Juan!!!!

You all are AWESOME!!!  You can do this!

Post as often as you would like and especially if you are struggling.

I like to eat peanuts in the shell and chips and salsa early in my quit.  Other than the chips and salt, these are relatively healthy snacks, plus they keep your hands and mouth busy.  :)  If you like really hot salsa, even better, I used to hate smoking when my mouth was on fire from the spicy salsa!

Spicy mints or cough drops help too.

You've got this!!!!

How about you leave your name the same, but we abbreviate to Iam when we are talking to you? Would that suit?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
