Lets DO this!  Get on board to become the QT's New Year babies. Make your resolution, the promise to yourself, put the cigarettes down and walk away from the addiction forever.

Last December 28th I started researching how to quit successfully and I found the support forums. My official quit date was 12/31 and I am just days away from my first year free. The only thing that I did different from my other quit attempts is this forum.

Lurkers... don't be afraid to join or post... this place is welcoming. I am a shy person and very quickly a site full of screen names became my friends and quit family. Please join.

Make the commitment guys (Natalie, JClarke....) be this years New Year 2015 quitters. If I, someone who smoked 3 packs a day, could quit anyone can!

# 17 is a startling fact given everything that is out there-

# 17

Each day, almost 3,900 kids under 18 try their first cigarette and more than 1,000 kids become new, regular smokers.

That's just scary. Those poor kids have no idea what they are in for. I just read that in 2006 Big Tobacco increased the nicotine content in cigarettes by 11%.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
