I went to get some Chinese take out last night and I was told the wait was 40 minutes.Three weeks ago I would have just gone outside and chain-smoked while I waited. Last  night though, I just sat down and read a magazine without giving smoking another thought! How amazing was that?

Great job...any time you can "remember" the times you would have smoked....but was still able to refrain ...it is a victory.  :)  !!

any chance you ordered that Szechuan style?..lol..

I personally think Chinese food needs a little "zip" added  to it  ;)

Way to go, Jen! That is a major milestone! Good for you!

You see, that's the way the healing happens. At first you have a lot of bad days with only the occasional good day. Then you have fewer bad days and more good days. Then you have a lot of good days with the occasional bad day. You're right on track for complete success!

The next time you feel like the cravings are constant and will never end, remember this victory--not every day is bad. As we promised, things ARE getting better! Keep up the good work, Jen!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
