When I look back on my 52 year smoking career ...I've probaly done that and worse....

I looked in ash trays for stale stumps...old stumps in coats ...

Of course now I find that un thinkable...

But back then... the addict me...would have done anything for a fix...

I'm so happy I don't have to do stuff like that anymore...

I'm more than sure I have dropped one and picked it up and smoked the rest of it as if nothing had happened.  How disgusting!

When I used to play golf with my buddies, I would put my cigarette on the floor while I took my swing, then pick it up and finish the disgusting thing off... Used to have at least one smoke per hole... Wowsers, that's a lot of smokes, and a lot of germs from the grass/sand/path wherever I put it down :(

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
