My friend and I went to the local garage ,as she needed petrol and ciggies.....

I said ...right.....you get the petrol....I'll run in for your ciggies.....

It never bothered me at all....no craves ,no thoughts......nothing......

It wasn't till I sat back in the car ....I said.....wow......buying those cigs didn't bother me at all....

I was just glad it wasn't me parting with all that money......just to kill myself.....

You should be very proud....I can't even imagine holding a pack...not sure what I would feel.

Doreen, that's fantastic! I remember getting to that point in my quit. It's such a great feeling. :) You are finally free!

I used to get embarrassed when I bought cigs. I mean how stupid spending $24.00 on one packet of cancer sticks. HOW STUPID! Thank heavens I don't have to feel that way any more. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
