I've seen the Allen Carr video, the one that's an hour long, and I really enjoyed it. Is it worth buying his book too? Will I get any additional information?

Everybody has there own thing. Mine was endless hours of looking at non smoking cats and dogs. I would say if you enjoyed the video then you will probably enjoy the book. Go for it  :)

PS …. Congrats on your quit Jc  :)

I never read it personally, but I've heard good things about it from some people. I think everyone is different, so some will find it helpful, while others won't. Let us know how you get on :)

I read the book and truly believe it changed the way I thought about smoking. I haven't seen the video though so I'm not sure if there is more info in book than the vid.

I'd say if you enjoyed the video be no harm reading the book and sure Stu downloaded it for you so should be easy for you to flick through it,

Congrats on quitting JR,

Fair play to you Stu xxx

Jc I thought the book was a complete life saver. I have quit before and been completely miserable, but he taught me how to be happy about quitting. I was terrified to quit and he helped me through. The audible was really good too. That way in a pinch you could listen for a bit to get steady.

I was shocked that when talking the quit smoking topic, there always got a new method.. gerenallt divide to two way: physicially and mentally. I think reading a book is mentally and absolutely the urtimate method. Currently I am on physical method, namely e-cig.

Physically it's easy and cheap. Don't smoke. Three days pass and nicotine is gone

Mentally can be easy too. But two weeks should be carefully planned. After that it depends on person, mindset and desire to be smoke free

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
