I'm mad because last week I couldn't wait to get to 3 months and really thought I had this.. now I'm there tomorrow and am struggling.. I just want to get to the point where I'm truly free from the junkie thoughts and romancing.

Jess. You are there. Easy to say, I know, but relax. You quit. You've done it.

Anniversaries can still unsettle me a bit, and each of us is really individual. Don't try to force things, if you get a crave accept it, it acts as a reminder to be vigilant - you don't need to let it upset you though. Try laughing out loud at the stupidity of craving something that you no linger want. It works for me!

Jess,

Anniversaries were always hard for me. I don't know why but they were. I always wondered why the heck I would struggle like hell the week leading up to a milestone, then it would fade soon after the day. There will come a point where it doesn't happen anymore. Mine was 10 months. ;) Hang in there because you are doing a great job, it all passes.

ETA: Nope.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
