10 months buddy - I do believe this gives us an El Bandito world record!!

I knew this guy once ya know, threw himself off at 9 months, twice, can you adam and eve it!!!

Serious bit - you're a bit amazing!! Your quit has inspired many and kept others smiling through the journey.

My bit - I still tell friends of this crazy guy, occasionally in a skirt who called me a dopey tart and that I laughed. Thank you so much for being who you are. There isn't any vocabulary that would cover off the gratitude i feel at sharing your journey and accepting your support with mine. I know it's easier because you're here.

60 sleeps till the big one!!

xx

Thanks one and all for your kind posts.

Quitting smoking is, to quote a friend, Easy-Peasy.

Well it is once you have done it ;)

Places like the Quit Train are a huge encouragement and for me at least, made such a massive difference. As Marti points out - I would never have got past 9 without it. So a HUGE thank you to the boss man - MQ who financed and set this this site up. A HUGE thank you to "Staff" past and present who all give of their time to keep us ticking along and on track.

A HUGE thank you to quitters currently active here and others busy enjoying their smoke free life (and to one who speaks from beyond the grave) who helped me along, encouraged me and inspired me.

If I have managed to encourage one quitter to stay quit, or helped them to understand one tiny thing about this tricky addiction of ours - then I have made a tiny repayment for all the kindness and support that I have received.

So Happy Thanksgiving to all you Colonial folk across the pond, throw another shrimp on the barbie down on the big island, and all us on the small islands....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
