Nancy is right, the anticipation of a quit is much harder than quitting.

Quitting is the best thing I have ever done for myself and wasn't as hard as expected.

I 100% agree with Nancy... the fear of quitting, the stress/worry you put yourself through beforehand, is often worse than the quit itself!

Trust me, it's the best decision you can make and having a good support system like the QT can make a world of difference. :)

I have never once regretted my decision to quit when I did; best thing I ever did!

2 of the girls I work with quit today.  I am trying to cheer them on.  I said 'this is the best day of your life!'

How are they doing?

I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I thought they both smelled like smoke today.  Is was sooo busy there wasn't time to talk about anything so it never came up

Aww :( I hope not.

I firmly believe you have not lived yet if you are still a smoker, you are only surviving day to day not living, why deprive yourself of it, give it a shot and see what life should be really like, do it for yourself x

Aww :( I hope not.

So I asked one of the girls if they were still quit and she said, "now wasn't a good time to try to quit."  I said, "it's never a good time to try to quit if you let yourself think like that."

I wish like heck they hadn't given up so quickly.

No smoker wants to be a smoker.

No non smoker wants to be a smoker.

No ex smoker wants to be a smoker.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
