This is my favorite time of year - I am like Clark Griswold - can't have enough lights!! Everything will be going up day after Thanksgiving just like every year.

I laughed out loud! That is when we put ours up too I look forward to it. I wish that we lived in a neighborhood where everyone decorated though.

I'm actually secretly really excited for Christmas. I don't know why, but I love this time of year. No matter how sad I am, seeing all the lights and what not give me the warm fuzzies, lol.

Steve is so bah-hum-bug about the entire thing... it's depressing. Harrumph.

It is such a god tradition - the kids go crazy because they know it is time to decorate - our neighborhood is hit or miss but there are 400 families

so we do have some fun people.

It is always a debate for me every year... do I use a ladder and go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down... move the ladder.... go up and down for the lights on the second floor...or do I say F it.... and risk my life climbing on the roof and slowly slide across the roof reaching down to put the lights on the gutter...literally thinking I am going to die with every movement.

I have to say though.... it is worth the risk...I love it when the it is dark at night and the lights are lit... it makes my near death experience worth it.  I live in a court and all of us decorate...it is pretty cool.

is there really any good reason to take the lights down ?  I mean, you don't have to turn them on until next year (unless you want some extra Joy).

I say leave them up and turn them on for any festive occasion throughout the year.

There are some great bars here that leave everything and I've a bunch of friends who do too.

The artificial tree becomes a Mardi Gras Tree, and Easter Tree, a Jazz Festival Tree.

Granted the tree takes it OTT but, the lights ?  pffffffftttttt.  Leave them up, I say.

Oh, and do be careful, baby.  Be really careful !

I found Steve a Minecraft hoodie we've been looking for for over a year now. We could never find it in his size. I'm at my best friends almost four hours away from home and I managed to find it in the mall here without really even looking!
