Is anyone watching the Hunger Games movies?..

about a year and 1/2 ago my daughetr was reading the books and got my wife interested in them....well...it wasnt long before i had all 3 read...

In my opinion, the books were excellent, but the first movie was way off the mark :(

If I hadnt read the books, I would have been completely lost...no details of the whole situation they are in..

I will admit, the second movie was better....even good....and the 3rd looks promising, but....its PART1...and from what I have read, PART2 isnt due out until NOV.2015!!

I mean a whole year between them?..

With that said..I am sure i will watch Mockingjay within the first week or 2 of when its released..

I hate when they split the last book I to 2 films... I find that it messes up the pacing, as they are trying to stretch the content too much, just in the name of making more money. It just annoys me. A lot.

Anyway, we will probably see the newest instalment on Friday, because Tasha really enjoys them. Hoping it's OK and not just full of filler!

As much as it annoys me when they do it, especially when they distance them by a year, I have to admit I was happy that they did that to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There were too many details that would have gotten cut out and went over looked had they done just one movie.

I haven't read the Hunger Game series yet. I don't know whether I want to so I have stayed away from the films as well. I do like Jennifer Lawrence so maybe eventually I will watch.

100% agree with your summary Joe. I read all 3 books in a week, I was obsessive as they are just SO well written! Saw the first film and spent the whole time explaining to my other half as he hadn't read the books. Low budget checker of whether people will be interested so I get it I think. (Twilight did the same, Harry Potter didn't thank goodness), but same logic. Pleased to see the 2nd film MUCH better, really enjoyed it. Can't really see how the 3rd book justifies two films...money spinner!
