Not really sure where to put this post.  I am having a lung xray tomorrow, haven't had one in about 10 years and after 38 years of smoking !!!.   Please cross your fingers for me.  I probably wouldn't have done it but someone posted about it not so long ago and made me think and find the courage. You don't get the results straight away.  Doing the full blood test thing too.

Good luck Gabby! I know how terrifying the lung x-ray is. I had one done about a year and a half ago.

Thinking of you. Try not to fret too much. I was convinced something was wrong, but the results were fine.

Aww Gabby, I'm sure you will be absolutely fine! I had one myself a few months back, and it wasn't so bad. But I know how daunting it can be beforehand!

Oh I know how you feel, had one last year sitting waiting to go in was the worst part for me but I got my results after about a half an hour because I was in A&E so I didn't have to wait weeks,

Sending positive all clear xray thoughts your way,

You will be fine and you will get the all clear, how long will you have to wait for the results? ?

Thinking of you hun xxx

Breathe, Gabby.

For sure your lungs look better than they did when you were a smoker.

They start cleaning immediately !  amazing !

Try to not future trip.

NOW is where you can do things, change things.

Love,

S

I remember almost leaving without getting the results because I was afraid of what they might have found. The sooner you find out good or bad news, the better. I am sure it will turn out fine. Crossing my fingers and toes for you :)

Thank you for all your good vibes and prayers, I have been and had it, funny how we think," she said the doctor would be in touch in a few days" and you think is that a good thing or a bad thing.  And the next thing my addict brain starts in the car, well why not have a cig and if the xrays turn out all good you can stop smoking knowing everything is ok.  I mean where does that come from.

The old triggers..."that was stressful...I deserve a cigarette!"

Yeah, cos stinking, and breathing in loads of poisons is just so relaxing..

What the bandit said !!

Seriously Gabby - continuing to send positive thoughts your way - and if you smoke ... Well NZ is not that far away - so I will come and find you !! Stay strong - we are all here for you xx

Yeah Brain says, so you've done the xray so let's go smoke now, even though that's what has us in there in the first place, mind boggles with the stupidness of this addiction, it's always on the look out for a chance to twart our brains into thinking we NEED a dirty smoke!!!

Well done Gabby, it's all done now and before you know it you will be delighted with your all clear results xxx
