Gee, thanks, everybody. You're so sweet!

For the newbies among you, you will be happy to know that this celebration came as a surprise to me. I just realized that I finally stopped counting the days and the weeks and now just consider myself to be a non-smoker. Hooray!!

The last time I had a really, really tough time keeping my quit was 2 months ago. Something bad was happening in my life and the stress was getting to me. I almost relapsed. It took all my willpower and every coping mechanism I had learned to stay the course. But I did KTQ! Now I still do think about cigarettes from time-to-time, but they are just thoughts and I dismiss them immediately. No big deal.

One of the things that was most helpful to me at the beginning of my quit was all the folks here promising me that it DOES get easier day by day-- just hang in there. I clung to that promise and you know what? They were right!  :)

Yey Chrys, kicking butt! :0 Congratulations! :) :) :) When will you change your name to Blossum or Butterfly?

Hi, Beacon. Being "Chrysalis" means that I am in the process of becoming the best me I can be. I hope and expect that the process will continue for the rest of my life. But if and when I become truly perfect, I most certainly will change my name!  :D

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
