You can tweet a thread from the forum and it will post the thread title and link.  It will not show replies etc., just the name of the thread.

 

We will also be posting daily tweets about quitting smoking and staying quit.  Most people have Twitter and if you do, you'll get notifications sent to your smart phone (if you have push notifications turned on on your phone/app)

 

Please follow us on Twitter.

 

 

PS, I'm still setting up the graphics so bare with us.  :)

Hmmmm...maybe thats why my girls give me grief....lol....you know how long it took before i joined Facebook?...But they were right...once I joined, there is no stopping me..after a few years, I now have 40 friends  :P

 

All joking aside, social media is mandatory if you want/need to get a message out.

I joined last weekend when MQ set up the twitter but my tweet didn't go as expected.  I have no idea how it works!  I need a tutorial!

Twitter is really easy. This is what the page looks like on a pc. All that you have to do is keep your tweets short and sweet. You only have 140 characters to make your point. (check out my big red arrow making skills)

When someone that you follow tweets something that you like and want to show your own followers all that you have to do is click the retweet button and it will show up on your page... you can add a comment to it if you want as well :) (Retweet is the blue half moon... the star next to it is favorite)

The retweets are important because that is what gets the message out there... if you have 20 followers than that is 20 people seeing it. So please retweet the posts! :D

 

Fridays twitter has something called #FF which stands for "Follow Fridays" 

I have a bunch of followers on my personal account so I will blast out a tweet for #FF @quittrain... and maybe one of my followers will show interest and follow the group. If they do that and retweet a post then their followers see it and so on and so on... ;)

 

We are working on linking the twitter account with the facebook account too! This will let any tweets show up on the QT's facebook newsfeed you can share from there as well!!

OK I am lost DD - you may have to take a ride to Bluffton one of these days to set one up for me or educate me - AGAIN when it comes to social media / pic / posting etc...

i thought i had twitted a comment to the qt but it does not show up?

 

does it have to be approved or was it a numpty moment on my behalf :)

It showed up. I retweeted it and followed you back from the QT account and from my personal account as well. :D Yay Tracey tweeted!
