Okay a variation on my dog ate my homework.

1. My dog ate a mobile phone

2. My dog ate a set of remote controls

3. My dog has eaten 2 pairs of my slippers

Sadly not 1 is true

I'd had a new mobile phone a couple of weeks. We bring in our gorgeous rescue greyhound and she chewed it to smithereens. :8_laughing:

Expensive introduction to the family!

** Sigh **

2 is in fact true. She has a thing about hard plastic, loved to destroy it. Not interested in rubber toys or anything like that.

She's also a bit of a kleptomaniac and goes through me wife's handbag stealing gloves and the like.

3 is a complete falsehood. I have never owned a pair of slippers in my life!

Okay so we've established that my dear old nan was named Alice, but which of the following is the lie?

1. My nan in fact lived next door to Queenie for more years than I can recall.

2. My mum got blessed with the name Pearl.

3. My dad was into cowboy films so I got Shane Alan as my two given names.

Oh come on Jo, please guess again, 'cos I'm really running out of truths here.

1. Is true. She lived next door to Queenie and Ernie. Used to love going round my nan and grandads. Good neighbours and you could sometimes even make out the TV through the clouds of smoke!

That leaves one guess left. Go on Jo, open goal, knock it in the back of the net.

yep that's right

3. Is a lie. My dad was into the cowboy stuff and Shane did come from that. However my other name is Frederick after my grandad.

oh... :(  I thought you were going to say your mum was a fan of Sounds Of Music and your got Fredrick from there.

1. At 16 I legally changed my name by depol

2. The kids middle name is Sheila

3. I didn't change my surname when I got married.

Well done Slip .... 2 is definately TRUE.... like you the Kid's middle name is after a grand parent... she is named for her great grandma, a women who not only raised her own kids but all the strays they bought home too... a woman who sewed basketball uniforms for 3 teams and also knitted enough jumpers for a full footy team.

Guess again.

1 is also true... 3 weeks after I turned 16 my dad remembered my birthday so I guilted him into letting me change me name.. I used to have an 18 letter hyphenated first name and the worlds most famous historical prostitute as my middle name. I just got rid of the hooker and the hyphen an use the name after the hyphen as my middle name.

3 was the lie.

Hmmm OK....

1. I spent a large portion of my childhood in men's change (locker) rooms during winter.

2. I once got broken ribs and sever concussion at a TISM gig but was so drunk I didn't realise until the next day.

3. I would drive 3 hours to see a band play in a pub and drive home that night.
