Since 2 days I'm on 2 mg nicotine after I minimized the time of using the 4 mg: but it's hard.... I have thoughts like 'lets snatch one at the neighbor' of course I WILL NOT SMOKE, but I need to write this down and distract myself at the same time.

I'm one month quit and despite the cravings and the lame excuses I'm steady enough to choose NOT to smoke.

I have to sit this one out, this evening we have s study group from church and I'll be busy but right now I'm just BORED and craving, so I'm typing here to shake off the craving!

I WILL kick this craving I just need to get used to the lower nicotine level. It's the nicotine gum that brought me this far + posting in here when I felt my quit was threatened by something. Instead of acting on my craving I just typed 5 minuted full, till the time I could take a gum and sorry if this is a lame story but it helped!!!

You are doing so well, Evelyn.

The 'thoughts' will still come up...but, the more distance you have from smoking the easier it will be to distract yourself.

Boredom is a sure trigger,  Think of things that will keep you entertained.

Sometimes when I am bored, I open an Atlas or a Dictionary

or, I clean my house.

I like the Atlas the best as I meander along rivers or mountain chains.

Give a pet to The Pigs for me,

Love,

S

Your recognising your triggers and finding ways to overcome them....

Your body will get used to a lower dose....it just takes a little time....

I'm so proud of you and want to give you a sqeezy hug....

Well done honey.....xxx

Yesterday I took the piggies to the petshop for a manicure/pedicure and she said they look very healthy (I thought they're getting too big or fat) but that wasn't the case and the always squirk when I walk to the kitchen: the guiny pig alarm I call it.

I am sure that your body will get used to the 2mg in no time - I'm not sure how it works, but I suppose that's what it does? You are doing great Evelyn - post as much as you need, you can do this :)

Excellent post Evelyn!

You're learning to deal with those urges and how to not act on them. You are doing great!

So glad you posted :)

Good post Evelyn!  You might want to try deep breaths and drink tiny sips of water when you are craving.  If typing helps, keep typing!  You are doing excellent and I'm sure you will win this battle!  Hugs!

Goo job. You need to get off nicotine to finally not crave. You are removing the bandaid super slow. Rip it off and be done. Easier to me. Three days it's gone. Then all in your head, which you know how to deal with.

You got this
