Hi Wiley.

Pre Katrina.  You knew the answer to that, Wiley.

The diaspora of FUNK because those neighbourhoods got washed away by the Levee failure

and the influx of rich white people has changed everything...it looks every day more and more like Suburban America or Disneyland   :(

my favourite thing about NOLA is the light and what is left of the funk.

I love that I can still hear a brass band on a random morning pass right outside my door.

I grew up  in

Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts , upstate New York, New Hampshire, California, and Wicklow, Ireland for 8th grade.

(not Military...we don't exactly know what Daddy did)

As an adult, I have lived in

California:  Venice (L.A),  San Francisco, Sonoma County and Monterey County

Louisiana:  New Orleans  (Uptown, French Quarter, Marigny and Upper Ninth Ward) also a year near Morgan City

UK:  Brockley in South London,  Aldeburgh (Suffolk)

and 1973-1976  traveled with First Husband in a 1961 VW Van crisscrossing the US 4? times

I love New Orleans, Ava,

and as a matter of fact,

I DID see you in '96 .  Yes, I am Sure it was you.

Didn't you see how Wildly I waved  ?

But, you...you turned your head in a most sublime manner and gazed out towards the River

and I walked slowly home.

edited to add.

I loved living in the quiet parts of the French Quarter.

Stayed in an apartment once that was smack dab in the whirl and really LOUD from the street, that was difficult.

OK, I know that you are painting a lovely Sunflower at the moment, but what is your favourite piece that you painted, why, and do you still have it?

How big are your feet?

Do you admit to farting? (most women don't)

Explain the BOB  you refer to in more detail, what he does, how often and anything else..

When drinking do you become more fun? and how?

If you could nest up in only one place to paint and live for the rest of your life where would it be??
