Stoptober is the 28-day challenge to stop smoking for most of the month of October. It's based on the belief that after 28 days without a cigarette, smokers are five times more likely to give up smoking for good.

 

Stoptober is created and funded in England by Public Health England. You can sign up for lots of free support tools from apps to packs. Click here to join in and Stoptober will email you support throughout your 28 day challenge.

 

If you are going to participate in the Stoptober challenge, Quit Train is here to help and support you! Quitting smoking is absolutely the SMARTEST thing you could ever do for yourself. It is easier than you think. But to succeed in the long run you need education about the nature of nicotine addiction and how to beat it. You also need the tips and tricks of successful quitters and (sometimes) a few good laughs to lighten the load. We can provide all of those elements and more.

Great message!! Stoptober really does see a number of people quitting and that's a brilliant thing and as said above, we are here to vent to/offer support, as we have been there. So please join in, nothing to lose and additional support can make a quit so much easier and more fun. x

I found out today of 2 people who are doing this... One of Tasha's friends from her work, and one of her friends who we bumped into at Sainsburys... And you know what this guy said? He said 'it ain't as hard as I thought it would be'. Straight from the horses mouth, folks - this could be you saying that! It's not too late to start quitting ;)

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
