I have had a really bad day compared to how I felt last night. I'm tired of working full time and being a full time house wife it's exhausting then I go out to try cheer myself up to losing a pair of shoes I had just brought my daughter to having a full blown panic attack in town due to winding myself up so much. Not coping at all

Rough day Laura.

Sorry.

Imagine how much worse it would be with a lungful of stinking poisonous chemicals.

Nice deep breaths, quiet yourself. You are making a massive, life changing adjustment to your life. WELL DONE.

You will still have crap days - but many more good days. Stick with it Laura, you can absolutely do this.

Emotional highs and lows are a part of this early journey, please rest assured this dies down later so you only have to go through it now and get it done.

Cry, scream, breathe deep. You are healing on every level and healing isn't always easy, but it is always worth it. Be kind and gentle to yourself for a while. Who cares if the house is a bit dirtier, sometimes a gel just needs a bubble bath or a good cry or to chat to a friend or post to us. No matter what you can do this and I hope today is more positive anyway. xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
