I had a terrible event of breathlessness and anxiety that I never experienced before. It made me realize that this old lady had better quit!

I was sucking down nicotine losenges and that just wasn't doing it. I went to a well reviewed vape shop and OMG, met a person who understood and helped. Just starting on my journey but I'm not longer terrified.

Congratulations have you actually quit yet or are you thinking about it?.

You have come to the right place take a seat on the quit train in the no smoking compartment obviously.Thete is lots to see on the site have a look round. The passengers are all friendly and happy to give advice if you want it.(Some will give it whether you want it or not lol) But they all mean well.

Good luck keep your determination levels up and ask for help if you need it.

Welcome to Quit Train @maryb! There's NO better place anywhere for support in quitting the smokes than right here. I encourage you to visit often, especially in the early days/weeks of your quit.

I too am a little confused as to your current status :42_confused: Have you actually stopped smoking now or just trade the smokes for vape? You mentioned meeting a person who understood your situation at a Vape Shop? I'm hoping you've actually quit smoking and not just traded smokes for vape because that's NOT the answer you're looking for.

I hope you come back and fill us in on what you're doing so we can offer some tips and advice on how to cope in the early days of your quit.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
