Can't go too much into detail right now, but I need a list of charities.  I love St. Jude's and although they're international, I'd like to know which charities are good in other countries.  Being from the US, I really need the help of everybody here.

In the end, I'll choose 5-6 charities.  Thanks!

Just to clarify..you are looking for charities ABROAD?...

Domestically, I could give a list as long as my arm, but you already know them..so I assume you are asking the islanders ( :P  ) for theirs

I so admire my optometrist (Dr. Stephen Warstadt, Tucker, GA) because every year he donates his time for the whole month of August to provide free vision services and treatments to people all over the world. He is so enthusiastic that sometimes I think that he works the other 11 months a year just to be able to afford to take this month to help people. The organization that sponsors these treatments is called One Sight ( http://onesight.org/). I don't know how they are rated in terms of administrative expense ratio  but please check them out. They do good work.

Yep, Marti covered both of my regular ones. I'm also a sucker for animal charities, such as the RSPCA and the RSPB.

Thanks hun x

Aoibheanns pink tie charity, charity that helps kids diagnosed with cancer; they are there every step of the way with birthday presents for the kids and look after the mams and dads and brother's and sister's of the sick child,

They never stop giving their money, a family that lost their daughter through cancer started it and they give their own money and now they've started getting people fundraising for them, but they seriously need and deserve soo much more, they are selfless people doing all they can to help the pain families suffer through because of that rotten life robbing cancer x

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
