The time is finally here to welcome our dear Beacon (leader of the non-smoking cats), and her beautiful smiling human Melanie (one of the sweetest women ever) to the lido deck...!! And I couldn't be happier!!

 

It has been quite the journey for you to get to this stage - I remember when I first met you, you were at about 2 months free, and I looked at your ticker and I saw your warm greetings that you gave to all the newbies, and I knew that I wanted to follow in your footsteps. You personally gave me the encouragement and inspiration to make it this far, and I will never forget you for starting my first celebrations, or for sending me a PM when you thought I was feeling down. You are a dear friend to me, and I am so happy that you are celebrating this today - so very happy for you, and love you loads!!!

 

You have brought joy to so many with your kind natured posts, and you are always one of the first to know if someone is feeling down. You started the non-smoking cat thread, and have made so many people smile and laugh along the way. Thank you!

 

I know it hasn't always been easy these last 12 months - but you have absolutely got through them with such class and determination - you are an angel!

 

I'm sorry no special graphics, because I'm not at work, but will edit to add later - I have a feeling that this party might last the weekend, lol

 

Love you, dear friend! And I am SO PROUD of you :)

Congrats!! :D that is so amazing - you must be elated and proud as a peacock as you should be.

I hope the celebration lasts the rest of your life - I am only 40 some odd days in but have already come to admire you.

You are an inspriation and loved by all on this train! Great Job!!

One of the weirdest things I read from you was a post saying your patience wasn't very good, you could use being more tolerant and I did a laugh snort thing! You are so so lovely and supportive and I have also been on the receiving end of kind supportive words on more than one occasion.

 

You utterly rock and the fact that you battled thoughts occasionally and said, well it helped me bat mine back - more than that - I am so pleased you dismissed that yourself so we can celebrate a beautiful year of freedom for you.

So happy to be posting on your one year thread!  You have been an inspiration to so many since you showed up one year ago.  Thanks for being such a good friend to so many people.  We are blessed to have you here with us.  Celebrate your day!

Look how happy Koko and Yumyum are for Beacon! Beacon is one cool non-smoking cat and so is Melanie! You have given yourself a gift of freedom! Can you even believe you were once holding an IV stand outside a hospital? I'm so very happy you will never be that person again!
