Well they are not for dinner tonight...

but last night I spent about 3 hours (and one bottle of wine) putting these turkey pot pies together. I had made the filling on two days before. they are all packaged and in the freezer for this winter.

This looks tasty.

I like tilapia because it is not too fishy. I can't eat certain types of fish because I hate the overwhelming taste of them.

Decided to get creative tonight and made a new dish. It's standard bacon-wrapped chicken but I marinated the chicken in A1 Steak Sauce for an hour before wrapping and baking it. It's excellent! (I have seen something similar but using teriyaki sauce, which is too sweet for me).

Here is the marinated chicken on top of the bacon strips.

Here are the wrapped chicken strips heading for the oven.

Here is the finished product. Served with rice pilaf (with mushrooms and pine nuts) and spinach/mushroom salad.

DH was a happy man tonight!  :)

W-w-e-e-l-l-l, let's not call it "finding something to eat". Let's say we head to the kitchen filled with creative inspiration (i.e., inspired to eat).  :)

I wanted some chili yesterday, but am trying to eat healthier again. I just substituted ground chicken for the beef, kept everything else the same. I almost like it better than the beef :)

I think the ground chicken makes it chewier in a good way lol.  Nice to know I can have my chili without all the guilt.

Tonight I'm making Placki ziemniaczane...Polish for potato pancakes.  Back to good eating tomorrow, I promise :)

Not sure what to call it.... but last night...

On a bed of brown rice is a baked chicken breast stuffed with spinach and mushrooms, served with a pear, parmesan & green onion cream sauce.

And of coarse it is low calorie!!!

:P Not!!
