Hi Gio - welcome aboard a0d0423989cfe63dbac86525c36d6b54_zpsff34

I was also one of those a people that lit up as soon as I left the gym or straight after a basketball game - so I know how you feel, but I will share one thing - if you think you are fit now - you will be amazed at what you can achieve when you are smoke free ! Plus the gym can become a safe haven if crave a hit because you can't smoke there - I practically lived at my gym in the early days !

Congrats on a great decision and remember we are here for support if you need it a0d0423989cfe63dbac86525c36d6b54_zpsff34

Welcome Giopetro :)  It's a small world, I'm on the North Shore.  You will find keeping busy is a huge help in the beginning.  It's common to wonder why we waited so long.  Check out the exercise and healthy eating thread, you will find a lot of health conscious people.

not looking forward to the odd cravings i have been hearing about.. But just the fact that I do not have a pack of cigarettes on me and am totally okay with it is HUGE for me right now.

Everyone is different... you might be one of these people who get by with relatively few craves... I would say just embrace the quit, and celebrate that you have had a great journey so far!  Good for you for not being tempted when you are drinking - each potential trigger beaten makes you stronger :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
