Some of you know me and some don't. I am a 35 year old woman and was a PAD smoker for over 20 years. I quit 37 days ago by using Chantix.

LOL, I struggled for a minute wondering what a PAD smoker was.

Welcome dentalfloss!  Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking.  I took Chantix as well and had great success with it.  If you have any questions at all please let me or anyone here know.  We want to help.

Hi DF!

Welcome!

I used (and am still using) Chantix to quit. I found it very helpful, and will continue to take it until I feel comfortable enough to quit.

I figure if it works, why mess with a good thing?

Again, welcome :)

Edit to clarify: I will continue to use chantix until I'm comfortable with quitting the chantix. I already quit the smokes, lol.

I can see where that can cause some confusion. lol Makes me wonder what thoughts were going through your head.

I was going through the list of things a person would smoke and decided that it must be something new and I am just not up on the lingo.  hahahaha  and then I got it!

I have received several PM's from others asking what PAD is as well.  hehehe

PAD= pack a day.  For the late comers.
