Good for you iulia - so, is this the longest you have been without a cigarette? I'm really happy for you. I promise it gets easier :)

You are doing fantastic and have the right attitude to succeed.

I was just thinking back to when I first quit and I hated getting out of bed first thing in the morning cos I couldn't smoke, I would say what's the point in getting up. Then when I dragged my sorry bum out of bed, I would eat and eat and eat and have to take a shower and clean my teeth to smell nice because I was obssessed with smelling yummy, that kept me quit. After all that it was probably only 8 oclock in the morning and the clock would drag along. Mornings I found the hardest.

Basically what I'm getting at is I can't remember the last time I thought like that, I think it started to get soo much easier after 4-6 weeks.

Now I love the mornings, can wake up soo much easier and I don't need to eat the whole house anymore, appetite went back to normal pretty quick and the thought of a cig in the morning turns my stomach now.

I promise you it is a million times better to be a non smoker, give it a month or so and you will see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow x

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
