Smug nonsmoker

Recommended Posts

Today I was at a workshop and the speaker was droning on and on. The guy next to me was squirming. At the break, he told me he needed to smoke. I told him I quit 7 months ago after 30 years of smoking and how glad I was. He of course ran away screaming but I was happy to be quit. I sat and ate some grapes and talked to friends. Later I noticed this guy was wheezing and I remembered how people would ask me why I was so out of breath.

Beacon I love these types of posts from you - they always make me smile :d

Bandito, back in my golf days I used to put my cigarette on the grass to take a shot. Couldn't keep it in my mouth because the smoke stung my eyes. Then I used to pick that cig back off the ground and stick it right between my lips. No wonder I was constantly sick lol

Considering I would have at least 1 per hole (2 of it were a par 5 lol) I must have got through at least 25 smokes in one round of golf :(

I wouldn't say you were smug acting...maybe just like a wee bit superior huh?  :)

A little nosmo snobbery, what's wrong with flaunting it?

You know like if you got it...flaunt it.

That's why I like summer I get to show off my

________     :)

see how I took that and turned it around on you?

I am happy to call it smug- yesterday I was at a course and the speaker asked if we needed a break after an hour - I think I was the first to say we should go straight through and finish earlier- a concept that would have killed me when I was smoking ! 3daa4cc69413a4a4fda538b0ecb14120_zps9b10
