That's OK to feel like that Dancer, it's perfectly normal, and it will get a lot better over the coming days and weeks. You are giving yourself a great gift by not smoking.

How are you feeling, exactly? Anything we can help you with?

Hi Dancer!

Some days are hard. I´ve been through a few hard days recently too.

I think we all have... been through hell and back at the beginning. We can only hold on.

I don´t want to smoke. The mere thought makes me gag. The smell, the thought, makes me gag. But I still get this feeling that "I want to smoke". Weird. Well, I know what would happen if I smoked.... I would gag. And I´d feel like I have failed myself.

Stay focus and do not let your junkie win over your thinking brain.

Strength, my friend. Please hold on ((((((((((((((((((((((((Dancer)))))))))))))))))))))))

Thank you Action and Susana. I know exactly what you are describing Susana. I don't want to smoke either but until my body/brain heals it can feel tough.

Hey Dancer

These feelings do come...

Remind yourself why you quit. Buy yourself a treat with some of the savings that you have made. Pat yourself on the back. You are doing great.

We have to heal.....be patient......day by day......it will happen.......

Just keep repeating...n.o.p.e....no matter what....it does get better.....

When I first quit....I thought....ya right....no way......

But it really does......

You know deep down you don't want to smoke.....but the monster plays with you....

Your doing great.....stay strong.....

HI Dancer you are doing great, some days are tough and you feel Blerrghhhh but this will pass, one minute at a time NOPE, I found singing at the top of my voice helped!  You need to do whatever it takes to get you through this tough time, just remember that each time you beat the nicotine you are winning, you are a non smoker and you will not allow the nicotine demon to win xx

Yes, I remember the foggy feeling...but this too shall pass...and I like the suggestions of juice and singing!

i was bouncing off the walls....but as long as you remember why you quit and keep telling yourself..."smoking is not an option because I am committed to this quit"  you will be fine.  If the addict brain sees a "crack" in the system...that's when it wreaks havok on you and puts your quit in jeapardy

NOPE..no matter what

:)

You got this Kylie!

I know you do

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
