I used to do this diet to maintain weight. Fruit teas seemed to help as did lots of actual fruit. But yeah, you're hungry and water only goes so far....

Good luck. xx

A new diet. Bet it's the one that is really going to work and all others will be over.

Five pancakes to two sausage

Eggs optional and bakon is out of style (t shirt and jeans since elementary school)

Burritos ratio of pancakes to sausage

Silly Colonials

Sausage = Breakfast

Pancakes = Dessert

5:2 is a diet based on the idea that prehistoric Man would have had days when he caught nothing and would therefore have gone hungry. This is how our bodies work apparently.

Each to their own of course - but it strikes me as a slightly odd way to reduce calorie intake.

Prehistoric man had it correct then why we on the interweb and going to work. Did they have 5 days of hunting and weekends off or just not that good at hunting?

I hope this diet catches on here. It is going to make lines at restaurants shorter for me.

Did somebody say sausage?

BTW - Sarge is a big fan of fasting. Not so much for dieting or losing weight, but he always feels better health wise after a day or three running around the woods or mountains without food. Sleeps better, too.

No - seriously.

He's not kidding.

My friend does 5-2 lost loads of weight and says she feels great afterwards, I think it's good for the digestion too

But it's not for me as I love food too much and can't live on water and lettuce for a day I'm just too greedy

Just be careful not to binge the next day which my friend did to start with but she levelled off and got into it, I saw her last week she looked great :)

If it works for you then great

I do like my fitnesspal too as it adds everything up during the day and you Can modify dinner accordingly just suits me better

Good luck x

Well the one I'm doing is 500 cals on the 2 days (which add up quick!) and then "normal" on the other days. But no one really has hard and fast # that I can find for normal. So I'm going for 1100.

Tomorrow I'm doing my 2nd '2' day. Sigh.

That's what you get when you have a class reunion this weekend and never got around to seriously dieting for it.

1100 is far below "normal".

For anyone.

It's barely over work camp prisoner starvation rations (about 800/day)

you should at least take in 1200 cal a day if not a bit more to be healthy at least that is what is recommended but truly 1500 cal/day would be better and more realistic

I agree ava 1100 is too low, your body will just slow down to compensate, 1200-1500 to loose weight approx try the my fitness pal it will help

I feel your pain a class reunion, but better to go to looking healthy, then drawn and tired xxx

Remember you are a non smoker you are going to look and smell fab :)
