The sunsets over Lake Erie are awesome.  That area of Ohio will always be home to me and just reading this thread makes me miss it a bit.  It's a beautiful area.

MQ is right, sunsets over lake Erie are awesome,

Then you have Put-in-Bay and Kelly's Islands and they have a lot of wineries!

I have a good friend with a boat to take us out on the lake

Rock and roll hall of fame,

Blossom music center, outdoor big name concerts

Mapleside farms, outdoor Friday night concerts, local groups

Metro parks, horse back riding

Hinckley park, lots of good stuff

Motorcycle rides along the lake and parks

October Fests

The list goes on and on!

Pittsburgh is only city with a real sports team

any team from ohio can be packed up and made a Maryland team

hienz is a Pittsburgh company

Harleys are put together in Pennsylvania

cops carry guns and so do a lot of other people

blue jeans are proper attire for anything worth doing

Ohio can get boring so ride the bike into Pennsylvania to see a hill and woods. Rt 6 is nice easy road.

Best beer for Pa- Struab and Yingling, Rolling Rock started here but kind of too "American" and weak. Boston Lager was brewed here for a time too. Iron City if your feeling bold, IC lite is exactly that- very light

South will be extremely hot while your here.

New York City for two days is a must some time in your life. Ride the subway and visit time square at night

Mass, for the history, especially Boston- is awesome

Motorcyclre Hall of Fame in Ohio, but really cool one is in Maggie Vally Tennessee, go visit Nancy and Tail of the Dragon Rt 129. 113 turns in 11 miles. But do it slow!!!

Road trip to a real beach on the east coast. Ocean City or Outer Banks. Myrtle Beach.  Erie is ok, but its not the ocean. Not even close, except to those that live near it, they get lost in some secret trance about it. It's a lake. Get over it. The waves are 6 inches high unless its windy.

Ohio is always windy too, except when hot out, then air don't move

Niagra is cool for a day.

Everything is bigger, cause we are all bigger. We have the largest poor people in the world. No money and 300 pounds. But the men do have larger danglers over here. I think its because women only breed with the longer guys and the short fellows went into extinction.

Chicks love to go topless for no reason. Just whip it off when happy.

Dudes are expected to only pay for meals on odd number days.

Motorcycle riders have distinct groups

  • Riders- who don't care where they fit, find these people and hang with them, they know best places to stop, best roads and don't care what you ride, they just want to go for day trips or longer. If someone goes 20 miles and is done then this is not their group..
  • sportbikers- leathered up in colorful matching pants and jacket with full face helmets,
  • Goldenwingers and Trikes- fatter old people out for dinner,
  • Harley hardcore- finally got enough saved to ride a HD and snub the others, usually wearing HD t-shirt with a new leather vest.
  • Foreign want a bees- ride kaws and Hondas that look HD but got awful loud pipes which don't sound HD except to owner, usually cheap leather vest with some patches,
  • Outlaws- just avoid- groups of dirty people,

All can be found at a bike night too. Go over to Mercer to Quaker Steak and Lube for a big one.

On the bike thing,

As long as you are on 2 wheels instead of 4 wheels, doesn't matter what you are riding

and do not be one of those A Holes who do tricks (wheelies, hand stands, ect) on the public roads

Everyone knows that in a playground fight in England...

"My Daddy is bigger than your Daddy" is the ultimate finisher...

In Scotland the finisher was usually a 'Glasge Kiss' which is a different matter entirely...

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
