He's got tshirts, teddys, key rings etc, he's fed up waiting for it to come out on xbox 1 over here. I made him a tnt bday cake and we decked the house out in all things minecrafty.

Oh gosh they would be BFF's. Mine asked for a minecraft birthday as well. He's got all sorts of clothes, toys, torches, stuffed creepers that say "sssssss boom" it's insane. He asked for a laptop for his birthday because apparently the game is different on pc then it is on xbox... insane, I tell you.

My son loves Minecraft too, desperately waiting for it to come out on X Box 1, but still plays it on his x box, we have t shirts, key rings, the creeper too DD lol, I would love to know how to make the Loom bands in Minecraft as he is daft on that at the minute as well, his wee pal came over yesterday and made a snake, a turtle, mine had a shot at making the snake and the loom board ended up being thrown across the room ha ha , xx

Are either of you (Jackie & Sue) knitters or crocheters? If so, are you on Ravelry? There are loads of minecraft patterns on there to be knitted/crocheted and a lot of them are free. Damien has me making a creeper and a sheep.

the loom board ended up being thrown across the room

LMFAO Mine is not crafty either! (Unless it is in a mine on the screen). My nieces make me necklaces and such on the loom but insist that they can't learn to knit! It is basically the same thing! LOL

If you are on Ravelry, let me know and I'll pm you my name there. :)

No I can only knit a scarf but my mam is fantastic, she makes everything, from fab dolls, teddys, cushions, clothes, curtains, pillowcases, stuffed toys, door runners, she made minecraft duvet and pillow covers for my boys, there is literally nothing she can't make,

Jackie if ye want I could make your son a minecraft loomband, I tried to post pictures of one I made here of a creeper and 2 steves with bow and arrow, sword, torch etc but can't get the pic to upload ; (

That is so awesome! It is a lot to take on for a knit project though. That blanket alone is an easy 6 months worth of work, you knit each square individually and then sew them all together  . I may go to the fabric store and look into material to actually sew up some sheets and cases to match and box it all up as a Christmas gift for him.

God that would take ages, I'd get the bits of material and sew them on, less stressful, lovely pressie, fair play to you, really thoughtful thing to do for him xx
