Crappy day

Linda

Recommended Posts

Having a bad day today!!

Bunch of running around to do.

Trying to be positive but the negativity is

creeping in. Took the dog for a walk. My tool

box is empty tonight. Having my own little pity party.

PS: Beg to differ with "my tool box is empty." Your addiction wants you to *think* it's empty, to discourage you and make it easier to tempt you. But the truth is that you have a bunch of tools. You posted here. You walked your dog. And you probably did a bunch of other things today to cope. I'm not saying this to try to blow sunshine up your butt - some days just stink! But having a cruddy day doesn't mean you're weak, it just means the universe dealt you a stinker of a day. A better day will come your way sometime soon. Hang in there!

Irritability, anxiousness & restlessness were my least favorite quit symptoms when I was in the early days of my quit. The main thing that I turned to was breaking away from whatever situation that was causing me grief and doing some deep breathing in order to calm myself although, fisting a few peeps in the face may have also felt pretty good - until I was arrested for assault 😒

You know it's true though that all quit symptoms eventually disappear completely yet the many benefits you'll receive by quitting remain with you for life!

Aww Linda ....

Life can throw out some crap sometimes ....

I had a punching pillow ...maybe you could try this too....Boy did I feel good watching it fly through the air .

And you won't get arrested ...

Music ....

Singing along to your favourite tunes ...the louder the better ...this also got me through some rough days .

Your tool box is not totally empty ....you have us ..the board ...play some numbers ...we sure could do with them ...🐸

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
