I quit last Monday, 6 days ago. I use the nicotine spray a few times a day: I know many say cold turkey is the only way but I am doing what it takes to quit, this is my journey and I need wean of nicotine slowly.

I'm standing strong - once bought a pack with intention to smoke but when I walked into the hallway I walked the other way out to my smoking neighbor and gave her the pack saying 'this is for all the times I smoked from you'. Then I realised I felt I committed to this quit.
But I was to scared to come back, I needed to do this to prove to myself and all of you I really am sticking to it this time.
So I'm back, tomorrow one week! The flag goes out :D

I am proud of myself, but I had to find myself again and discover how strong I am and that I meant it this time. Call it soul-searching!

So I'm back, hope I'm still welcome peeps!

By now you know what works for you, so please use all the tools that are at your disposal. No need to explain or apologise. Whatever works for you.

That sounds like closure. You got it!

You are an inspiration. Please don´t carry on on your own.

The flag went out when you gave that pack away.

WELL DONE!!!! :girl_wink:

Yeah that was a real eye-opener: do I really wanna smoke, end in the cyclus of smoke-quit and on and on? No I didn't. I use a lot of Nettle tea to detox in a HUGE coffee mug. And I'm cutting back on sugar - drama!!!! Now I only put in one piece of sugar in coffee or tea but I did at first 2 in every hot drink so my sugar levels were spiking up and down. Now I don't get these cranky moods any more and tomorrow I'll do without sugar :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
