Dreading tomorrow, my stomach already feels nervous.

Have been given the job of getting 4 concert tickets for the up and com7ng band 5 Seconds Of Summer.

oh no!, can you imagine if they sell out because my screen has not updated quick enough....am left with 4 distraught teenage girls. There was a pre sale event yesterday, Lee tried to get tickets and failed as they sold out super quick.

Any tips anyone?

Any good UK tickets sites you recommend?

Wish me luck as if I fail it won't be pretty....

No idea who that band are or where to get tickets (we always use ticketmaster), I'm afraid... Just wanted to wish you good luck!!

Epic fail :(

Was 'on it, like a bonnet' yet still no tickets, sold out in 10 minutes. So gutted for my girls and their friends.

But what can you do?....I really did do everything I could.

Sorry Sharon - I had a cast around for you - but there are pros who snap up everything super quick...sorry

That was thoughtful of you Stu, thanks ever so much xx

I have managed to get them!....paid over the odds mind you and nearly fifty quid booking fee. Still, it was a case of stomach the cost and make a dream come true. Will use the concert as a birthday present.

Fifty quid booking fee....my stomach turned over...need a brew ;)

Dear MQ.... can you please get a translator for this site???

You're the second person to have said this after one of my threads.

At first I thought it was just a gentle tease, but now am wondering if my posts are really that hard to understand?

I'll wait on your reply....

I think the above is where our cousins across the water might struggle!

Translations

Over the odds = way too much

Mind you = please note

Fifty quid = fifty pounds sterling

Stomach the cost = accept the expense

Need a brew = would like a cup of tea

I'm guessing a tease..Sharon, have you got your chimp out for a walk?

As Bakon would say, we Islanders are impossible to understand!

Whoops, sorry.....I can see what you mean now, thanks EB.

I am just so relaxed on here that I write as I chat, in person, to my friends.

I will change my style and write in my 'telephone voice' style ;)

Please keep your style.  I love reading these posts.  I admit I need to read them two or three times sometimes, but it is fun to "hear" your dialect.  :)

Regarding the concert tickets - sometimes it is worth it.  I'm sure they will have tons of fun.  i am currently looking for Katy Perry tickets for me and my daughter.  The are so flippin expensive!  I hate to pay so much, but would LOVE to see her live.   :)

Sharon...I was just teasing.  Please stay relaxed on here and type it as you think it.  The language barrier is fun to try and figure out sometimes.

Sorry if you took me serious... by all means... you do you!!!

On the plus side, a month of not smoking covered the extra expense.  I thought "need a brew" meant "need a beer" so I learned that from this thread.

That's it isn't it Petra you either pay or don't go. I didn't share the cost story with my dad...he's old school. A case of HOW MUCH!, ridiculous, you're not a millionaire....so you didn't buy them, did you Sharon?

Lol...he would do his nut if he knew!

(Do his nut: be very cross)
