Okay, so maybe have gone nuts or something, but I've decided to take up some running or at least make an attempt?  Some of you may remember, me sharing my experience with running when I was a kid.  Long story short, my triathlete uncle starting me running when I was little, maybe 6.  I was running 5k's, we use to travel all over to run them.  He pushed me really hard and well I feigned excruciating leg pain, even let my mother take me to a specialist.  In middle school, I did some cross country, but it didn't last long.

So, now for some odd reason I have a strange urge to start running.  Don't know where it came from.  I don't even think I remember how to run really, but I'm giving it a shot.  Got through my first day, did 9 intervals of run 1 min/walk 2 min.  My lungs burned and my shins hurt, but I did it.

That's fantastic - make sure you ease back into it though - I hate to think what would happen if you injured yourself and couldn't get to spin !

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
