Storm came thru tonight and knocked my power and Internet out.

I panicked...now what?????

I lit a candle, grabbed my guitar and started playing. Haven't done that in months. I didn't play long because my finger tips are soft and not calluses up like they used to be. My playing was rusty and it is not easy in candle light but it sounded beautiful anyway.

I looked down at my guitar and realize how dusty it was. Uggggghhhh. . There was a time I cleaned it on a daily basis. I felt disrespectful. Need to clean it tomorrow

Once I was done fiddling with the guitar...I meditated. In the candle light...in the silence except for rumbling thunder in the distance. Felt so calm and relaxed.

Sometimes the powers that be force us in situations we wouldn't otherwise visit. I miss doing both of those activities. Good for the soul.

:)  Were you alone at home?  Whilst I would love the safeness and security of my family being around, being alone in that ambiance would be cool too. :)  Enjoy your darkness. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
