We finally did it!

So I'm happy to say we finally adopted a cat! We've been wanting to for over a year, even since we moved in together. He's an adult cat (obviously). He had the name "Mr. Ike," but since we both weren't a fan of the name, we changed it to Mike. He's 6. Very affectionate, very talkative, kind of demanding. He's everything we've been looking for. :)

Thank you! :D

He's such a sweetheart! <3

I'm glad we decided to go take a look at him and spend some time with him today. I'm pretty sure he would have been snatched up by someone else if we hadn't!

Holski stole my thoughts!!!

Wow, so many of us have adopted cats now. Aren't we awesome lol

I was looking online recently, at the cats at the local shelter. Even though I know I can't have another at the moment... I just live saving those kitties!!!

I am glad you finally found one.  He is adorable <3

Cats are so awesome.  I wish my hb were not allergic.

When we got married I had to give away my 2 cats, Mace and Fitzgerald.  I cried all day about those cats.  The tears had abs nothing to do with the wedding, I never cry at weddings.  Ha.

Uh oh. Now I'm in trouble.

Aww he looks so cute and fun :)

:) He is! He's made himself at home here. Didn't take him long, lol.

Wow......he is a handsome chap.......

I know he will fill your heart with love.......I'm sure he is so appreciative........

It's such a great feeling giving a kitty ,who,s life is not too good.....

Look at dottie......

Aw, it's so true Doreen. I already feel so happy and less stressed with him around. I really needed that after everything that has happened over the last year.

I was telling the shelter ladies there that if I was working at the shelter, I'd want to adopt every cat.

I was ready to take this guy home too: http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=OTTW.A169359

You should have named him bakon. :)

I was contemplating it!

We just bought him a cat tree. I assure you, he's not spoiled at all. :P

I would have cried too. :( The previous owners of Mike had him for six years and had to give him up because they were moving. I'm sure they were so sad giving him up. I'm sort of allergic too, but we didn't tell the shelter that. :P

Where did you get him ?

He's beautiful !!!!

Ottawa Humane Society. :)

Well, he certainly looks like he's made himself at home already... I bet the 3 of you will be super happy together, although I hope that your fiancé realises that he will probably get a lot less attention now, lol :p
