I am craving big time and will not smoke but I also feel like eating 6 sandwiches or chocolat, or anything sweet with sugar... Feeling like robbing the candy section of the market. I know once I start sweets, it will only increase my cravings. Anyone with advice?

I allowed myself to eat 3 times a day bread with low calory cheese, but right now....

The money I saved from quitting got spent on snacks.

Macadamia nuts, were my biggest downfall. Expensive and fattening.

I wish I had an answer for this I did not do well at controlling my snacking. I do however feel great being a non smoker and am in control of my eating now.

Hang in there it will get easier as long as you keep going.

I too snacked badly, my snack of choice was chilli coated peanuts.  Go gently with yourself Evelyn, you are already quitting which is the bigger favour to your body for sure.

Hard boiled sweets were my best win as they were tasty and lasted ages. Juice may help. Wondering about sweeter fruits too (nectarines/peaches etc).

I figured out that drinking a whole glass of juice in once, only increases the craving shortly after so now I'm zipping from it.

Evelyn, please don't worry about gaining weight right now.  Quitting is more important.  I'm working on trying to loose what I gained but I'm not too worried about it as I prefer not smoking!

I bought mango juice which almost relieved my craving

Yummy, love mango :)

Natural sugars will help - fruit or fruit juices... You've got this!

Sorry can't help, I just pulled my chair up to the fridge and pigged out.  And that's why I have put on so much extra weight ( so this is a don't do)

I personally did whole fruit rather than juice - it helped with sugar levels and I found it more filling. Since we are talking healthy - I won't mention the quantities of licorice I also consumed !
