Where are you?  Please check in so we know that you're okay.  If you're smoking it doesn't matter.  Check in anyway.  Got it?

Who else am I missing?  Please add the names and I'll add them to the title.

We have chains on the train for the stubborn relapser's and if need be, you'll be shackled in the caboose until you get your heads on straight and stop screwing around with your life.

It's all good here, I rolled over the 5 month mark yesterday. Been on a "vacation" the last few days in Indiana building a roof frame onto posts for a friend of mine's house in the woods. No electricity, but plenty of bugs. Glad to be back home, heh heh. I suppose the sparse postings this last month has been just being less focused on the quit which is because the urge and idea of smoking is fading. That is a good thing in my world!

My internet time was limited before I quit and I'm just not going to be one of the hardcore regulars posting here, but I should pop in on monthly anniversaries for a howdy and toss some "it can be done" experience/encouragement to the newbies. Keep my hat in the ring so to speak.

Aine's quit is still solid; we miss it a bit at times but won't trade what we have for going back to what it was like before. I still can't run but I out worked guys in their early 30's on the framing job this week. Hot, sweaty and sore as hell but never ran out of air. Got control over the fat ring that popped up around my waist... it's a one inch pinch and shrinking now.

Thanks for asking how we are! Congrats to all for not smoking this month!

Isn't he cruising in the motor home?

Yes, I think.  I hope he isn't playing Dale and killing zombies or worse, playing Walter White and cooking blue meth.

Phone went boom, kzzzzz, pop in a freak wine incident. Fortunately the wine wasn't hurt. My phone didn't do so well though.

Got a new phone now and I'm slightly scared of it.

(I know, right? How did The Sarge get the Ugly Gene when the others all look

so ... normal...[2])

FOOTNOTES:

[1] Fat (40-ish pounds heavier than he is today), smoking, unhealthy, couch-potato Sarge from, like, 3 years ago or so ...

[2] and good (they look good, don't they?) . Sarge was cursed as the Ugly Sargeling.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
