Rest in Peace, Eddie Van Halen.

Some of Eddie's finest work...

And a personal favorite...

I bought Eddie a beer at a bar in LAX about 30 years ago. He was flying with his wife Valerie Bertinelli and he was so much nicer than she was!

I'm a little obsessed with Sturgill Simpson's new bluegrass album right now.  Even though I'm more bothered than I should be by that album cover...the deck on that mower is backwards.

Jerry Jeff Walker, aka Scamp Walker, aka The Great Gonzo rode off into the sunset.  Many a memory is brought back to life with each and every Jerry Jeff song I listen to.

Damn.  John Prine is gone.  Jerry Jeff Walker left us last week.  And now, Billy Joe Shaver has passed away.  The music will live on forever, but there are now many good songs that will never be written.

Watched the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood last night.  Good movie...not great.  The soundtrack was one of the real highlights of the film.
