Another one by Marty Robbins.  This one is historically significant as the song that gave birth to the fuzzy guitar tone.  When Grady Martin went to add his guitar solo, a transformer blew in his amp leading to 250 volts going directly through the winding.  And the rest is history.

Never heard that before, thats cool, Marty was something special for sure.

 

From his Bio:

(Robbins enjoyed one of the most illustrious careers in the history of country music. He recorded more than 500 songs and 60 albums, and won two Grammy Awards. Each year for 19 consecutive years, Robbins managed to place at least one song on the Billboard country singles charts.)

Fun fact, Eurythmics formed in Australia, well in Wagga Wagga (wog-ah wog-ah) to be exact. They were over here touring with their then band The Tourists, and one night in Wagga Wagga they decided, yeah nah fruck it, let's leave and do our own shit.

Heard a clip of this song over the weekend and drew a blank on the song title and band.  Finally worked it out because I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to things like that.

 

And, it's in keeping with Jo's whole Aussie band theme she's got going...

When Blackmore left Deep Purple and started Rainbow, they had a lot of band turnover. Dio was amazing but Graham Bonnet had a great voice and really enjoyed his vocals.
