How are you guys doing?

Hopefully by now you've started seeing real benefits like improved circulation and your taste and smell have returned. Maybe you've noticed more energy or how nice you smell.

And lets not forget all the money you've saved! Time to start thinking of something really cool to do with some of that cash to reward yourself for quitting😊

Quitting isn't always easy but it is ALWAYS doable. Trust in yourself, there will never be any greater act of self discipline as there is when quitting.

SELF DISCIPLINE:

the ability to control one's feelings and overcome one's weaknesses; the ability to pursue what one thinks is right despite temptations to abandon it.

I must say I always had cold feet, now I have warm feet.  Have to have them out of the covers now to sleep. At first I thought I was running a fever but them it dawned on me that my circulation was better.  I am thrilled, I had to have hip replacement a few months ago because blood flow stopped to hip and the top of my femur bone died. Trust me you do not want that!! I did not know our circulation could affect your bones but it does. It is called avascular necrosis and is very painful, keep this in mind it will help you stay on your quit. Hip replacement was a vacation in the tropics compared to the pain you will feel from this.

Thank you @jillar! The benefits from quitting smoking that you mentioned are great! And that self discipline comes in handy when fighting that mental game! Much needed pep talk! Thanks again!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
