First day of no smoking thoughts.

Recommended Posts

Okay, it took over 4 months to get here but it finally happened. Last night as I was going to bed I shut down the computer and remembered I didn't check the smoke board. As I turned out the light it occurred to me I couldn't remember one time during the day that I thought about smoking.

Of course the Demon Universe made me pay for it today by throwing me a 9 on the 10 scale crave, but remembering yesterday I just told the crave to stuff it.

I'm looking for the next milestone where I see  myself to be one who doesn't smoke anymore as opposed to one who is quitting smoking.

Comrade, at nine months I find that the thoughts have faded except when I am driving. The diea of being a former smoker is still there but I know it is getting better and better day by day,  Today I saw someone smoking and it struck me as odd how someone had a burning stick hanging out of their mouth.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
