Well my mini vacation is over! Got back home today. Had a great time, lots of time on the water.

Boating, swimming, fishing. Company of great friends. But I do have to admit I missed smoking!!!!

I didn't but I really did struggle, felt like I left a friend at home. I really didn't think I  would.

We did  some drinking, I limited that because I knew that would be a trigger. I did not think

I would have the issue I did, but hopefully it will get easier  It would have been real easy to give

In and smoke. Being around smokers  was not easy. My friends don't smoke , but there were other

people on the beach that did.  Can't avoid that forever. All and all had a good time!!

@Linda, I promise you it WILL get easier! I'm glad you had a great time and protected your quit. That's a huge milestone for you 😊 Can you imagine how embarrassed you would have been walking up to strangers and asking for a cigarette?! Especially with how much they cost these days?!

Great job, Linda. WTG! I have thoughts of lighting up, so minor cravings, I suppose that will always be the case, when I see others smoking.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
