Where you see yourself a year from now , may be a key to success .

Do you see yourself as an Ex smoker ? What would that look like , feel like ?

What freedoms would you have that you haven't had because of smoking ? Envision those. See that person in the mirror every morning and don't walk away and forget who you are .

You deserve to be quit , to have that rebirth and new beginning .

Quitting smoking took years off my life and smoking takes years off our lives .
There are two sides to every story and every conflict . Smoking has two sides too . What side will you believe ? Will you only hear one side ? The cigarette comes disguised.  Freedom does not . Discern the two when a crave overwhelms you . Are you listening to addiction or to your heart . What's the goal here ?

What is smoking doing for you ? Write the pros and cons .

A suggestion :

Choose a day once a month and write the pros and cons of smoking for six months . Post them on your mirror .  Mark the changes you've noted in yourself every month for the first six months . If you want , do it a year . I'm sure some of the things you thought were good reasons to keep smoking will be moved to the other side .

If you still feel like smoking makes your life better I will be quite surprised . Come back and tell me .

Give yourself that . You owe it to yourself to experience a taste of freedom and once you do you will want more .

You can fight amongst the thorns of addiction that want to suck you in then spit you out or you can be at peace with yourself in a smoke free world .

Look in in the mirror and see that beautiful person you are inside and out .

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
